The Ministry of Higher Education in collaboration with the Pusat Kerjaya, Teknousahawan dan Jaringan Pintar (PakaT), Universiti Sultan Zainal Abidin (UniSZA) has organized Digital Innovation Creativepreneur (DICE) 2022. The field of creative entrepreneurship is able to form entrepreneurial-minded students, create digital innovation ideas and create job opportunities.
The strengthening of this entrepreneurial activity is in line with the Pelan Tindakan Keusahawanan Institusi Pendidikan Tinggi (PTK-IPT 2021-2025) which has outlined strategy 1 which is to strengthen the support system for teaching, learning and entrepreneurship research and strategy 6 which is to encourage students to take advantage of innovation and digital technology in entrepreneurship. Therefore, a program with the concept of creative entrepreneurship is an important agenda introduced by the Ministry of Higher Education (MoHE) in Sejahtera IPT to be applied to higher education institution (IPT) students.
DICE 2022 is a program in the form of training and competition in unearthing talents in the creative digital field to support creative entrepreneurship. DICE 2022 successfully attracted participation involving 172 students and 42 lecturers.
The DICE competition involves two categories:
- Creative Video Category (Short films, animations and documentaries)
- Interactive Media Category (VR apps, AR apps, mobile game apps
The DICE program involves three phases:
- The formation of digital ideas for creative content
- Creative content digital project development
- Creative content digital project competition
This program receives support and cooperation from external agencies and industry partners such as Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDeC), CRADLE Fund Sdn. Bhd., MYStartUP, KRU Entertainment, Warnakala Studio, MRANTI, Celcom, MZR Global Sdn. Bhd. , V3X Malaysia Sdn. Bhd., and Tolahah Creative.
MZR Global Sdn. Bhd. played the role of an industry strategic partner as well as one of the juries evaluating the pitching and product business idea.
